Stool for kids
Toronto is a modular and adjustable stool designed specially for kids. Young children will get a kick out playing with the Toronto Stool: interactive furniture that is comprised of 100% recyclable cork and foam and features an evolving design that grows alongside a child.
With the ability to customize the stackable discs to meet their height, kids can transform this functional stool to their height while enjoying a hands-on learning adventure that helps them improve their manual coordination and develop an affinity for differing textures, densities and weights. Designed together with Daniela Seminara.
‘Toronto is a detachable and adjustable stool. It is made of waste cork and foam, and you can recycle it completely. It is a piece of furniture and a toy at the same time. It is a muntifunctional transformable piece of furniture designed to benefit kids in their growht, in an intuitive, fun way. Morphology and kid-friendly materials have been studied and selected for kid manipulation, both by little children who enjoy assembling, disassembling, inserting, etc., and also by older children who like using their imagination building their own scenario to play. The Toronto stool, promotes an inclusive way to play between children with different abilities.’
